METAVISIO — THOMSON Computing’s Web3 NFT Collection Sells Out Instantly, Ranking First on OpenSea
French electronic consumer brand METAVISIO — THOMSON Computing recently announced its entry into blockchain with its upcoming Web3 laptop built in partnership with io.finnet named “Metavisio.” The company has now announced that it has sold out an NFT collection to celebrate the upcoming laptops, a series of 1,500 collectibles with in-store and online perks for its collectors.
The collection, consisting of 1,500 NFTs, was met with overwhelming demand, selling out in less than five seconds during Phase 2 of its release. The Thomson Genesis collection also quickly climbed the ranks, trending as the number one collection on OpenSea for Base and generating over 400 secondary sales within the first few hours. Notably, 1,052 of the total 1,500 NFTs were claimed through guaranteed spots by members of prestigious crypto communities such as Memeland, CyberKongz, Mocaverse, and DeGods.
Holders of the Metavisio NFT collection will gain access to exclusive cryptocurrency-based rewards within Metavisio’s expanding Web3 ecosystem, including ongoing token airdrops and special perks. Additionally, NFT owners will enjoy a 5% discount at THOMSON Computing stores worldwide on a variety of products, including the Thomson NEO laptop series and tablets. Beyond retail perks, holders will have the opportunity to win annual prizes, including the world’s first Web3 laptops and exclusive raffles with a $20,000 prize pool featuring cutting-edge electronics. The NFT also unlocks high-performance CPU & GPU computing benefits, adding significant long-term utility.
The Paris-based company announced Metavisio, the world’s first Web3-enabled laptop, in December last year. The laptop will merge THOMSON Computing’s well-established hardware with an integrated cold storage wallet. This provides enhanced security with no single point of failure—an essential feature as billions of dollars are lost annually to centralized exchange breaches. Metavisio aims to put secure cryptocurrency storage directly into the hands of everyday users, supporting assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and more.
Set to launch Q2 this year, Metavisio laptops claim to blend conventional OS functions with decentralised user-controlled technology, offering powerful features like dApp integration, THOMSON Computing wallet, and an underlying token ecosystem. Users can earn rewards through resource sharing and other actions while enjoying enhanced security with private satellite internet.
Metavisio will combine traditional computing power with blockchain-native features, including integrated cold storage wallets and a proprietary Web3 operating system
