Twitter's drastic measures: CZ criticizes Elon Musk's decisions

If Elon Musk continues with his unilateral, often controversial decisions, he may have to face more than just Mark Zuckerberg in the ring. CZ, who has been up in arms about his decision to limit the number of tweets users can access, wouldn’t be afraid to face him either.

CZ disappointed!

Elon Musk promised to revolutionize Twitter when he bought it last October. The opening of the bluebird social network to cryptocurrencies was greeted with joy by crypto-enthusiasts.

However, many of the changes introduced by the new boss did not go down well with the Twitter community. The recent temporary limitation on the number of tweets users can see, for example, was the source of controversy.

Not even Binance boss CZ could hide his disappointment.

Viewing should not be limited. Posting and commenting should be. No humans post more than 800 posts per day, maybe except me.

Elon Musk is doing “a good deed for the world”.

To address extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits:

– Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts/day
– Unverified accounts to 600 posts/day
– New unverified accounts to 300/day

Note that a few hours before Musk’s tweet, the number of visible tweets for verified accounts was set at 10,000 messages per day. For new, unverified accounts, it was limited to 500.

Elon Musk’s initial justification was his fight against data scraping and system manipulation.

Last Friday, he said:

“we were getting data pillaged so much that it was degrading service for normal users!”

What kind of “data scraping” was he talking about? Some suggest that Elon Musk is accusing the companies behind ChatGPT (Open AI) and Bard (Google) of plundering data from his hard-won social network.

The reason I set a “View Limit” is because we are all Twitter addicts and need to go outside.

As for CZ, he has received a proposal to buy Twitter. But the latter has declared that he is running out of money. The SEC has reportedly restricted Binance’s access to its portfolios.
