Pretty sure I’ve never discussed crypto with Trump, although I am generally in favor of things that shift power from government to the people, which crypto can do

Crypto infiltrates the 2024 White House race. At the heart of the speculation, an unexpected association is making headlines: Could Elon Musk become Donald Trump’s crypto advisor? A hypothesis that the billionaire is quick to deny.
The former president courts the crypto vote!
It must be said that the former strongman of the White House seems determined to play the crypto card in his new campaign. After long lambasting Bitcoin and its derivatives, even calling it a “big scam,” Trump is now making a 180-degree turn.
A strategy made all the more crucial as institutional investors rush for index funds exposed to virtual currencies. With his tech builder aura, Elon Musk would then be an asset for the former president in this conquest of crypto investors.
However, nothing seemed to predestine the two men to one day join forces on crypto. Their conflict-ridden history, full of vengeful jabs and dramatic resignations, attests to this. But it was without counting on the quasi-divine aura that Musk now enjoys within the crypto community.
A fervent proponent of decentralization, the eccentric billionaire is today considered one of the paragons of the digital asset movement. His every word on Twitter (now X) is now scrutinized as strong signals for the crypto market.
Musk dismisses the rumors with a wave of his hand
From his virtual fortress X, Musk has indeed issued a sharp denial of the rumors of a crypto advisor role for Trump. “I am almost certain I never discussed crypto with Trump,” he hammered in front of his millions of followers.
A denial all the more biting as it directly contradicts the information revealed by Bloomberg. The latter indeed claimed that a broad advisor role, including crypto, was currently being considered for Musk in a possible new Trump administration.
This clash underscores how much the crypto topic energizes the debates at the start of this campaign. It also highlights the difficulty of understanding the stances of two such divisive and volatile personalities as Trump and Musk.
Elon Musk vehemently denies any crypto advisor role with Donald Trump. Nevertheless, his scathing denial does nothing to diminish the inevitable weight of digital assets in the 2024 White House race. Between overtures to tech billionaires and the rallying of pro-crypto PACs, candidates seem determined to make this election a watershed moment for the adoption of virtual currencies. Whether or not he is involved, Musk’s guiding shadow will loom over this plot-twisting electoral saga.
