Crypto: Pump.fun Leaves Raydium And Launches PumpSwap!

Getting informed Decentralized Exchange (DEX)

Pump.fun, the craziest memecoin factory on Solana, has just slammed the door on Raydium to launch its own DEX, PumpSwap. A break in the style of “thank you, but we will manage without you,” which smells of independence, strategy… and a hint of well-disguised panic.

Pump.fun manager fires Raydium manager

Why Pump.fun is leaving Raydium

Although accused of promoting Ponzi schemes, Pump.fun has been making traders dance for several months with its tokens that are born every minute, attracting dreamers, geniuses, and sometimes… gentle lunatics. But at the time of “graduation” — when a token leaves the platform to sail towards its DEX life — it was Raydium that took over.

Problem: Raydium was no longer up to the task. Too many tokens, too quickly, and not enough control. The automatic listings had become a cheerful mess where MEV bots rubbed their hands while token creators cried injustice.

Result? Pump.fun decided to take the reins back. No more outsourcing, it’s time for PumpSwap. A custom, homegrown platform designed to migrate “graduated” tokens smoothly. Everything is instantaneous, clean, and above all… under control. It’s like going from carpooling to your own convertible: it costs more, but at least, you’re in charge.

PumpSwap: a disguised centralization?

But behind this sharp turn, a question tickles: is PumpSwap the regained freedom or a disguised centralization? Because yes, Pump.fun remains the only one to decide which tokens can “graduate”. They let you play around, but it’s them who hold the whistle at the end. A little joyful dictatorship? Maybe. But a dictatorship with memes is easier to swallow.

And there was urgency. Pump.fun’s revenue collapsed by 80% between January and February. A wake-up call was needed. A boost. A change in direction that screams: “Look, we innovate!” And if PumpSwap works as planned, it could well restart the dream machine.

With the creation of its own DEX PumpSwap, Pump.fun is therefore charting a new path without Raydium. More independent, more ambitious… and as always, a little crazy. But that’s also why we love it, isn’t it? Apparently, the loss of 99% of its memecoins in 4 weeks made the platform think long and hard.
