Crypto: Kamala Harris Accepts Donations In Bitcoin Via Coinbase!

Between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, the presidential battle promises to be intense. And to win the hearts of Americans, the candidates are doubling their inventiveness, including by appealing to cryptocurrency fans. Kamala Harris surprised everyone by accepting crypto donations via Coinbase, a bold move in a campaign where every detail can make a difference. Here’s the scoop on this decision!

Harris embraces the crypto wave with Coinbase  

Kamala Harris, Vice President and Democratic candidate who is considering Gary Gensler as U.S. Treasury Secretary if elected, did not pull any punches in her return to the electoral race. Thanks to Coinbase Commerce, she now accepts cryptocurrency donations.

A Coinbase spokesperson confirmed that her super PAC, Future Forward, uses this platform to raise funds. Alesia Haas, Coinbase’s Chief Financial Officer, unveiled this initiative at a conference organized by Citigroup, signaling a notable shift in the U.S. political landscape.

However, Harris seems to be playing hide and seek. The official campaign website does not yet display any crypto integration, and even the Crypto4Harris association was unaware. Curious, isn’t it? 

Yet, with $50 million already raised in June by Future Forward, it’s a safe bet that crypto will be a central issue in this election, especially with Coinbase’s recent contributions.

Bitcoin, crypto, and politics: an explosive alliance  

The Harris campaign is undergoing a transformation. The Democratic Party, once hesitant about cryptocurrencies under Biden, seems to be repositioning itself. Haas mentioned “a rare opportunity” to clarify U.S. crypto regulation. 

The super PAC Future Forward may have found the key to success: in June, it won 32 of the 34 elections in which it financially invested, proving that crypto money can also influence the ballot box.
