Chainlink has just launched Transporter, a secure crypto transfer application across different blockchains. Based on Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), this solution promises to simplify and secure transactions across multiple networks.

Developed in partnership with the Chainlink Foundation and Chainlink Labs, the Transporter application provides a user-friendly interface that allows for easy transfer of tokens across 8 major blockchains, including Ethereum, Polygon, and Binance Chain.

Users can thus monitor their transactions in real-time via Chainlink’s CCIP explorer, without any additional fees apart from those charged by CCIP service providers. The 24/7 support and visual tracking of key steps such as confirmation and finality bring peace of mind and transparency.

“Having a secure way to move value and data between blockchains is something the industry has needed for years,” states Sergey Nazarov, co-founder of Chainlink. “We anticipate that Transporter will make this more accessible.”

Chainlink Pushes Boundaries with a New Transfer Mechanism

At the heart of Transporter, the Chainlink CCIP protocol ensures the security of each transaction from end-to-end. Its robustness is based on the use of multiple decentralized oracle networks and an independent risk management system, thus eliminating any single point of failure.

To further enhance this security, Chainlink has subjected the CCIP code to rigorous audits. The company has also established configurable transfer rate limits per route and per token. The goal: to significantly reduce the risks of cross-chain transfer-related hacking, which represent nearly 50% of the hacks in the crypto universe.

Furthermore, Chainlink has improved CCIP with a new mechanism allowing for native ETH transfers via WETH token pools. A significant advancement for the protocol’s lock/unlock functions.
