Saga Smartphone, An Improved Version Coming Soon

Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana Labs, revealed last December that the Saga smartphones struggle to find buyers. While he and his team hope to build a user base with more than 25,000 units sold, this Web3 Android phone only recorded 2,200 sales. A rescue plan was imperative.

According to CoinDesk, this new Solana smartphone will stand out from its predecessor with other attributes and a lower price. Here are some features of Saga 2:

Note that the first version of Saga was sold for 1,000 dollars initially. But as it struggled to move in the market, the issuer of the SOL cryptocurrency decided to reduce its price.

In this difficulty of selling Solana Saga phones, there is a paradox. Explanation: by setting up a mechanism to drop 30 million BONK tokens for each smartphone sold, Solana has gathered several cryptocurrency fans around.

For its part, CoinDesk reported that the price of a factory-sealed Saga device is auctioned at 3,200 dollars for the same reason.

And to think that, disappointed, the backers of the Saga smartphone were considering abandoning this experimental project launched in April 2023.
