Bitcoin, cap at $1.5 million: Cathie Wood pushes her limits
The SEC-approved Bitcoin spot ETFs: a turning point for Bitcoin? Even though Gary Gensler maintains a cautious narrative, cryptocurrency seems ready to soar to new heights. Cathie Wood, at the helm of ARK Invest and freshly authorized to deploy trackers on BTC, confidently predicts that bitcoin will reach $1.5 million in the coming years.
Cathie Wood predicts bitcoin at one and a half million dollars
It is not the first time Cathie Wood has cited ambitious figures for the future of bitcoin. Back in July 2023, she had already stated:
“I think our bullish case is for $1,500,000 per coin. The most favorable scenario is something like $625,000.“
Six months later, her view remains unchanged.
“Cathie Wood says bitcoin can reach $600,000 by 2030. In a bullish scenario, it could even hit $1.5 million by 2030. I’ve believed in her since 1985.“
In a recent appearance on CNBC, reported by CoinDesk, ARK Invest’s CEO reiterated her predictions. According to her, with SEC approval for spot ETFs, bitcoin could indeed reach $1.5 million by 2030 in a bullish scenario.
Why such optimism? Spot ETFs, described as revolutionary products, appear to be catapulting bitcoin towards new horizons.
“We believe that the likelihood of a bullish scenario has increased with the SEC’s approval. It’s a green light,” she highlights.
Thus, Cathie Wood positions herself as a fervent optimist about the future of bitcoin, in response to the approval of Exchange Traded Funds. However, Standard Chartered Bank takes a more conservative view, predicting a price of $200,000 for BTC by the end of 2025, based on comparisons with gold-backed traded products and the Bitcoin ETF.
