Bitcoin ATH 2024? New Bold Prediction by Jan Van Eck

Jan van Eck, CEO of VanEck, has once again spoken about bitcoin. Apparently, nothing has changed: he still holds the queen of cryptocurrencies in high esteem. Additionally, he has predicted a new All-Time High (ATH) for this “essential” digital asset within the next 12 months. Details!

Bitcoin, 12 Months from a New ATH

As usual, VanEck, the asset management firm, has produced a report replete with “Audacious Predictions 2024” in regards to the cryptocurrency market. Even the CEO, Jan van Eck, has recently engaged in this forecasting practice.

According to CryptoGlobe, Jan van Eck made this statement during “The Exchange” show hosted by Kelly Evans on CNBC on December 15th. When asked about the future of bitcoin, he did not hesitate to express his unwavering confidence in the queen of cryptocurrencies.

Mr. van Eck based his reflections on a deep understanding of the market dynamics, as well as bitcoin’s position in the financial chess game.

“I find it impossible to imagine any other internet store of value surpassing bitcoin. So, it is the number one,” he emphasized.

Beyond his commitment to the flagship crypto, the CEO of VanEck also spoke about the future performances of bitcoin. In his view, bitcoin will reach new heights in the next 12 months. Why such a bold prediction? Because this digital asset has achieved a certain degree of maturity and will enter a new era in April 2024 (specifically on April 23rd according to Glassnode). Indeed, the BTC halving, the halving of miners’ rewards, will take place during this period.

He did not fail to mention gold, which is currently smashing records. By making comparisons, Jan van Eck concluded that bitcoin mimics this precious metal in its status as a store of value.

“[Bitcoin] is going to accompany gold, I’ve been telling people. This was back in 2017… Bitcoin has increased tenfold today… I believe bitcoin is the essential asset that is growing before our eyes,” he argued.
