Artificial Intelligence (AI): YouTube Is Testing a Chatbot Compatible with Videos

The excitement for artificial intelligence does not seem to be waning. Following the announcement of Grok, the supposed rival to ChatGPT created by Elon Musk, YouTube unveils a revolutionary chatbot. Let’s zoom in!

YouTube is gearing up to integrate AI

Elon Musk, the man leading an anti-ChatGPT-4 initiative, seems to have retreated to embark on launching artificial intelligence models befitting his name and personality, such as TruthGPT and Grok. According to him, the latter is the top contender to ChatGPT.

For Sam Altman, Grok is far from fulfilling its main mission as it resembles a “boomer humor”. Moreover, OpenAI just announced a new version of the highly popular conversational AI Chat-GPT. It’s going to be hard to contain the Titan clash that’s looming in the field of artificial intelligence.

In a recent release, The Verge revealed the existence of a chatbot project intended to provide information about a YouTube video. With the help of this conversational AI tool, someone watching a video on this Google-owned platform could:

• ask questions about the video and get instant answers;
• receive recommendations for related content;
• inquire about any topic within an educational video;
• participate in quizzes.

At the same time, YouTube announced another artificial intelligence capable of categorizing video comments by themes.

« Starting today, this tool is available to a small number of people on a subset of videos, and in the coming weeks, members of YouTube Premium in the United States on Android devices will be able to participate in the experience on youtube.com/new », Google specified in a statement published last November 7th.

Google is stepping on the gas!

Google, whose tool Google Trends is very effective at measuring public interest in Bitcoin (BTC), already has a highly popular chatbot named “Bard.” We know that Bard was only made available to Europeans six months after its launch.

Besides this AI competing with ChatGPT, Google has already revealed that it will flood its ecosystem with similar programs. Search, Gmail, and its office suite will soon integrate artificial intelligences. Additionally, video creators registered on its platforms will be given better tools to create short films or other related amenities to wow the crowd.

Note that Google seems to have a head start with respect to technologies related to Web3 (crypto, blockchain, NFTs…).
